Working with FirewallD

Rob Locke

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 beta introduced a new firewall mechanism called FirewalID that controls the flow of network packets in, out, and through the local system. In this hands-on session, you’ll explore how this new mechanism compares to the tools used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. We’ll also cover how to modify this new firewall’s rules from both the command line, with firewall-cmd, and from a graphical front end, using firewall-config.
