Today Red Hat announced new offerings, ecosystem infrastructure and services designed to provide CIOs with a comprehensive, easy on-ramp to cloud computing. The company announces the expansion of development services that provide customers with the tools and expertise needed to deploy and manage cloud environments as well as enhancements to the Red Hat Premier Certified Cloud Provider Program.

Red Hat Integrates Server and Desktop Virtualization

Today Red Hat announced next step in the integration of its enterprise-grade server and desktop virtualization portfolio with the general availability of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 2.2. In addition to providing the first release of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization for Desktops, the 2.2 update includes new scalability capabilities, migration tools and features to expand the performance and security of the solution.

Red Hat and Cisco Expand Relationship with Virtualization Technology Integration

Red Hat and Cisco today announced the expansion of their virtualization collaboration with the integration of Cisco Virtual Network Link (VN-Link) technology with Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization. With this integration, Red Hat and Cisco customers will have an opportunity to achieve higher performance, greater network visibility and control and a reduced total cost of ownership for their datacenter virtualization deployments.

Red Hat Extends Subscription Value with New Customer Portal

On Tuesday, Red Hat announced enhancements to its customer experience and subscription value with the general availability of a new global customer portal. Available to all worldwide Red Hat customers as an added benefit of their Red Hat subscription, the portal is designed to provide customers with a premium experience for accessing Red Hat knowledge and software across product lines and to encourage engagement with Red Hat to expand customer success with Red Hat solutions. The new customer portal will allow Red Hat customers to participate in and benefit from communities of users and experts. It is another important step in Red Hat’s leadership delivering more value through open source subscriptions and helping to transform enterprise IT from a costly, inflexible proprietary development model to the greater innovation and flexibility offered by open source software.

NYSE Euronext Fuels Performance, Integration and Cost Savings With Red Hat’s JBoss Enterprise Middleware

On Monday, Red Hat announced that NYSE Euronext (NYX), the leading and most liquid equities exchange group in the world, has standardized on Red Hat’s JBoss Enterprise Middleware. Moving from proprietary application servers to an open source reference architecture has fueled cost savings, simplicity, integration and performance gains across NYSE Euronext’s infrastructure. Further, the company leveraged the open source development model before deploying on JBoss Enterprise Middleware.

Red Hat Enables and Empowers Global Business Partners with Center for Resources on Cloud, Virtualization and Middleware Computing

Red Hat announced the global launch of the Red Hat Partner Center, an online community and resource center for Red Hat Business Partners. The Center features a single portal for partners to access sales enablement tools including targeted marketing materials on cloud services, virtualization, platform and middleware solutions. The portal also includes an integrated case submission feature, deal registration, subscription management, training resources, specialization requests and upgrades, as well as an interactive online forum where partners can actively offer continuous feedback.
